About Us
There’s a common assumption that if you have a creative passion, you should just be able to do it, for fun, at any time. The reality is, life is full of obligations and distractions. Doing the thing we want to do the most is often the hardest task of all. Many of us need some form of external structure in order to get to our important creative work (especially if we have ADD/ADHD, as many creative people do). Creatives are independent workers, often chaffing at any kind of restriction. Coworking calls allow us to feed off the group energy for motivation and focus, while allowing us to have full autonomy. It helps us commit to studio time each week, without it feeling like another burden, another “should.” You decide how often you show up - we will be there to support your effort and keep you on track.
Some of us find it easier to make time for ourselves when we make time for others first. If you commit to showing up for someone else, you’re more likely to follow through. Seeing the whole group working on their projects makes us more inclined to work on our own. In CCC, we have the shared experience of understanding the creative work flow and the obstacles we can all encounter along the way. We have the opportunity to share different strategies for any challenges that we face in our process. And, we feel less lonely in our solitary work.
Before I started CCC, the other coworking options I found didn’t work for me. They were too early for my time zone, had much shorter sessions than what would work for me as an artist, were intimidating and expensive, or they lacked community. With CCC, for the same price as a streaming subscription, you can get a committed group of people showing up to support you in achieving your goals. We welcome everyone from seasoned professionals to passionate hobbyists.
In November 2020, I held my first Creative Coworking call through Meetup.com. Gradually, it went from only me, to a trickle of regulars. With Sydney’s help, I decided to expand it to include more members, a chat server, increased accountability, and further resources. We hope you’ll join us!

“The American Society of Training and Development found that people are 65 percent likely to meet a goal after committing to another person. Their chances of success increase to 95 percent when they build in ongoing meetings with their partners to check in on their progress.”

The Benefits of Coworking
Showing up for an accountability group/partner and publicly committing to your goals has been shown in studies to dramatically increase your chances of completing your goal.
You’re more likely to show up to your art practice and move through resistance if you have scheduled, designated work time where you are showing up for an entire group of other people working on similar goals.
After the coworking session, it’s easier to continue working, since you’ve already broken through the initial resistance, inertia and procrastination.
